The painting of "Two Cats in a Field" is finished and I can't wait to hear what my client thinks of it.
Cats in a Field Portrait
Today I am working on two cats that used to spend many hours hanging out with each other. One of them has sadly passed on and this painting will be in memory of their friendship. As the painting develops more and more of the detail is pulled out.
The original photo reference was a bit boring and I decided to turn the ordinary into extraordinary by giving it a impressionistic brush work. Details will be worked in as the painting progresses, but the focus for now is to really bring in color and thereby visual interest.
